1779 Battle of Baton Rouge

This battle, the largest Revolutionary War Battle this far west in the British Colonies and saw the founder of Oakley Plantation as a soldier in the ranks, will be celebrated through a day of Living History activities. These activities bring that early time alive through weapons demonstration, cannon demonstrations, tactical and drill demonstrations, along with open-hearth cooking and period craft demonstrations.
