Milestones Museum, Leisure Park, Churchill Way West, Basingstoke RG22 6PG, UK
Are you ready to step back in time to the 1940s this May half term? The Milestones Museum is celebrating all things 1940s with fun activities for all ages.
Throughout the week, you can enjoy living history demonstrations and talks, browse historic objects, watch live performances, follow a trail, and much more on the streets of Milestones. Don't forget to visit the 1940s sweet shop, Abrahams, to pick up a ration of sweets and check out the walk-in shops of the era.
And if you're feeling hungry, head to the cafe for some World War II themed food, like corned beef hash and spam fritters, alongside our usual menu items. Fun fact: Fish and Chips were not rationed during the war!
To fully immerse yourself in the 1940s experience, why not dress up in the era's fashion?
