Bokrijk Bokrijk Bokrijk

Bokrijk, Genk, Belgium

Bokrijk is an open-air museum that takes you back to the year 1913. Various actors let you experience what life was like back in the old days in rural Flanders. You will meet the town's villagers, the town priest and the schoolmaster. Another small part of this museum is dedicated to the revolutionary ’60s.

The museum is located next to a forest, giving you the opportunity to have a walk after you visit the museum. There's also a large playground for the children.

Dogs and assistance dogs are welcome in Bokrijk.

In 2019 there is a temporary expo about the flemish painter 'Pieter Brueghel'. You can find more info about the expo at https://www.dewereldvanbruegel.be/.
