Although the Battle of Big Cypress Bayou never actually took place, it almost did in 1864. Jefferson, Texas, a powerful trading port and supply depot for the Confederacy, served as a staging ground for the potential battle. Join historical reenactors from across the country as they recreate the fight for control of Jefferson, referred to as the Baghdad of the Bayou.
