The Battle of The Village: Reenactment commemorates the 245th anniversary of the 1781 battle at French Village near Mobile, Alabama. British forces under Colonel Johann von Hanxleden attempted to retake Mobile but were repelled by Spanish defenders after the sudden death of their commander.
