Echoes of Valor

Echoes of Valor

Ohio, US

Echoes of Valor is Northwest Ohio’s longest-running dedicated World War II reenactment, returning with expanded immersion and a renewed focus on education and remembrance. Hosted at AuGlaize Village, the event honors the courage and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation through authentic living history experiences.

Visitors step directly into a German-occupied European town, complete with guard posts, encampments, and evolving storylines of occupation, resistance, and liberation. Moving through the village, guests encounter Allied forces preparing for combat and liberation efforts.

A major highlight is the simulated battle in the railyard, centered on a large communications bunker used for tactical demonstrations and combat reenactments. The event places strong emphasis on education, with a dedicated School Day on Friday and public living history programs throughout the weekend.

Presented by the Defiance County Historical Society and Historical Frontline Events, Echoes of Valor blends reenactment, interpretation, and community remembrance into a powerful tribute to World War II history.
