The Landshut Wedding 1475 is a historical festival held every four years, commemorating the marriage of Duke George of Bavaria-Landshut and Polish princess Hedwig. The festival features over 2,500 participants in authentic medieval costumes, recreating the pomp and pageantry of the original 1475 wedding.
The three-week festival showcases medieval life with equestrian and knightly games, camp life, taverns, music, dance, fencing school, and nighttime masquerades. Citizens of Landshut participate in a grand reenactment that is both educational and entertaining for visitors from around the world.
