No Quarter at Fort Ticonderoga

No Quarter at Fort Ticonderoga

New York, US

As part of the America250 commemorations, Fort Ticonderoga presents No Quarter, a REAL TIME REVOLUTION™ living history event marking the 250th anniversary of America’s First Victory—the capture of Fort Ticonderoga in May 1775 by Ethan Allen, Benedict Arnold, and the Green Mountain Boys.

This immersive three-day reenactment explores both the dramatic seizure of the fort and its immediate aftermath, revealing the human stories behind the event and America’s first offensive action of the Revolutionary War. Visitors will encounter British soldiers and their families, Continental forces asserting control, and the first prisoners of war of the American Revolution.

Across the weekend, Fort Ticonderoga comes alive with guided tours, musket and cannon demonstrations, living history programs, and access to one of North America’s most significant collections of 18th-century military artifacts. A special night-time program recreates the surprise pre-dawn assault on the fort under cover of darkness, offering a rare and powerful perspective on the event.
