Retreat Weekend at Fort Lee Historic Park

Relive a crucial moment in American history during the annual re-enactment event at Fort Lee Historic Park. Held on the weekend closest to the British Invasion of New Jersey and the start of the Continental Army's strategic "Retreat to Victory" in 1776, this event promises an immersive experience filled with music, culinary delights, artillery demonstrations, and more.

This year, witness a dynamic addition to the event with portrayals of Generals Washington and Greene. These distinguished leaders, portrayed by John Koopman and Ryan French on horseback, will issue orders and oversee the battle lines throughout the day. They will be joined by members of the 4th Dragoons, embodying Washington's lifeguards.

Additionally, the event features a replica of Washington's Marquee, serving as the Continental headquarters for the day's activities, adding authenticity to the commemoration.
