The Skirmish at Wests Crossroads, also known as the Battle of West Cross Roads, was a minor engagement that took place during the American Civil War on February 25, 1865. It was fought between Confederate forces led by General M.C. Butler and Union forces led by General William Tecumseh Sherman. The skirmish took place as Sherman's Union forces were advancing towards North Carolina.
According to some accounts, the Confederate forces were able to hold their own against the Union army and inflicted significant casualties on them. However, the skirmish ultimately had little impact on the overall outcome of the war, and Sherman's forces continued their advance.
