Living History Farms is a large open-air museum, spanning over 300 years of farming in Iowa. Here you will learn how the Iowans changed the prairie into farmland. The best parts of the museum are an Ioway Indian Farm in the year 1700, an 1850's pioneer farm, a 1900's horse-powered farm and the Town of Walnut Hill from 1875. This town includes a print shop, a blacksmith, a broom maker, a school and a law office.

Opening hours:

From Wednesday to Saturday, from 9am to 4pm

Sunday, from noon to 4pm


$16.00 for adults, $9.50 for children above 2 years old
