Medieval events in America

America doesn’t have impressing castles or a rich medieval history like Europe, but they make up with lots of grandeur and spectacular shows.

While in Europe reenactors strive to be as authentic as possible, in America fantasy is much welcomed. Most of the times American reenactment events will include some kind of old legend or fairy tale characters. Medieval and Renaissance fairs are usually held together.

American events usually have a longer duration than their European counterparts, or are spread over several weekends and are mostly commercial of nature.
